Kitschy Trip to New York City - Part 1
We relate all the travel experiences, both good and bad, for the first sixteen hours of our trip to New York City. Do we make it on time to board the ferry to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty?
But before we describe all that, we talk about the definition and etymology of the word "kitschy". Finally, a word without French roots, as this word is of Germanic origin. We also talk about how this word is hard to define, but has varying connotations and strong opinions on what items are kitschy versus not.
This is the first of a two-part series, with the conclusion of our trip to New York City in next week's episode.
